COMMUNICATIONS

Built for Impact

From the newsroom to public affairs, I’ve used strategic communications to bring clarity to complex, high-stakes issues and shape how they are understood.

Super Bowl LVI: Uplifting Communities

Leading up to Los Angeles’ first Super Bowl in nearly three decades, I supported communications for the Host Committee, helping shape storytelling that highlighted the event’s community impact and civic legacy. I co-produced a series of people-focused videos featuring local businesses, including the award-winning Oaxacan restaurant Guelaguetza and historic 27th Street Bakery. and contributed to communications for the Super Bowl LVI Legacy Program — leading executive speechwriting for its launch event at SoFi Stadium — that directed grants to local "unsung heroes.”

Perceptions and Policy: LA’s Homelessness Crisis

In collaboration with the Los Angeles Business Council Institute (LABCI),  Los Angeles Times and Hart Research Associates, I supported communications for a landmark survey examining voter perspectives on homelessness, the region’s top public concern during the COVID-19 crisis. The effort contributed to a multi-part LA Times series that reframed public understanding of the issue and underscored the role of perception in shaping effective policy response.

Housing and Mobility Advocacy

I developed and placed thought leadership on housing affordability and mobility in outlets including CNBC and Smart Cities Dive, helping position policy solutions for broader public and stakeholder audiences. Work included a co-bylined op-ed with 12-time NBA All-Star Chris Paul focused on expanding access to workforce housing and advancing pragmatic, actionable solutions.

Workforce Development and Microelectronics

At Northrop Grumman, I supported communications highlighting workforce development and domestic manufacturing initiatives tied to advanced technology programs, including those connected to the James Webb Space Telescope. This included syndicated storytelling on a leading manufacturing apprenticeship program and the California DREAMS initiative, a major effort to expand U.S. production of advanced microelectronics.
